After-School Programs

2007-2008 School Year

Feedback from the Kettering community has revealed that we need more safe, supervised activities during the hours
between when school is over and parents get home from
work. Partners For Healthy Youth is committed to
connecting families with local resources. Included in section is information about several community programs.

Download our flyer below with details on the program options.

AFTER-SCHOOL CO-ED
INTRAMURAL SPORTS PROGRAMS

After-school co-ed intramural sports programs will be offered at Kettering Middle School (Grades 6-8), Van Buren Middle School (Grades 6-8) and Fairmont High School (Grades 9-12). These intramural programs will includes sports such as kickball, dodgeball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, whiffleball and corn hole. Additional sports will be determined by student interest.

Kettering City School Intramurals are designed to offer organized, physically active recreational activities in a comfortable environment that focuses on fun and participation with an added social element. What a great way to get to know class mates and burn a few calories, all while having fun!

Intramural programs (for all schools) will tentatively start the week of September 25. Sports will vary per season, playing at each school or as close as possible (e.g., Van Buren and Fairmont Intramurals may occur at the D.L. Barnes Gym) with days and times to be announced.

If your son or daughter is interested in enrolling or obtaining more information regarding intramural programs, contact the principal's office at your school.
